Amanda Jones
Amanda is the founder and creative director of Potentia Media and the Potentia Foundation. After spending 15 years as a freelance journalist witnessing state of the world, Amanda was motivated to make a difference in the only way she knew how-by using media. She founded Potentia Media to bring the best creative talent to work on social issues. From Potentia Media sprang the Potentia Foundation, where people can take social action based on the messages spread by Potentia Media.
During her career she has worked as a writer, photographer and an editor. Her work appears in books, magazines and newspapers worldwide, including Vogue, Travel & Leisure, Town & Country, Condé Nast Traveller, the London Sunday Times, the Los Angeles Times, Salon.com, and the San Francisco Chronicle. She has been published in many anthologies and has developed stories for National Geographic television. Her photographs were exhibited at the United Nations film festival and she is frequently invited to speak at literary conferences, workshops and festivals. Previously she worked for Condé Nast's Vogue in Sydney, Australia. Amanda was born in Auckland, New Zealand, where she received her university degree. Kavita Ramdas - Kavita is the President and CEO of the Global Fund for Women, one of the world's largest non-profits working to raise the status of women globally.
Lori Barra - Lori is the Executive Director of the Isabel Allende Foundation, which funds grassroots organizations focused on helping women and girls.
Elizabeth Share - Elizabeth is the founder of Wise Giving, a consulting firm that furthers the work of nonprofits and philanthropists. She also works for Bread and Roses, a non-profit that brings famous musicians to perform for people in institutions.
Dr. Sara Burr - Sara is the founder and owner of The Burr Group, LLC, a grant, policy, science and business writing firm. She has taught political science and entrepreneurship at UC-Riverside, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Marquette University.
